NATIONAL HUGGING DAY
Hey buddies,
It's been a long time coming. I hope it's not too late to say "Happy New Year"?
Well, Happy New Year, friends, wishing you all success, joy, love, and peace in good health.
Today, I'll be talking about a lovely topic, and I'm so happy to kickstart the blog this year with this delightful subject. So let's go......
History of Hug
In the USA, January 21 is National Hugging Day. Hugging Day, or "Hug Day," as it’s been called in other countries, has become popular.
Kevin Zaborney brought the idea of National Hugging Day to life. He introduced this holiday on January 21, 1986, in Clio, Michigan, USA. The main essence of this holiday is to encourage others to hug one another, literally everyone. It doesn’t matter who they are, where they are from, if you know them or not, members of their family, friends, or strangers.
Now that we've had a short memoir about hugs, let's try to understand their significance.
Hugging Has Many Health Benefits:
Studies prove that hugging helps
1. in building a good immune system.
2. To reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease
3. To stimulate the release of beneficial hormones
4. for the treatment of high blood pressure
5. in making us feel good and calmSo I will say it helps with calming and relaxing when sad, moody, or tense.
Permit me to say it is therapy (psychological, emotional, and physical).
I am not a hug person, and I know some of us aren’t. But let’s try and make it a thing. It means a lot to some of our folks out there, and maybe with time, we’ll also get used to it.
Thanks for sticking with me. Sending you virtual hugs!
Love,
Princess_peeee.
