WORLD KINDNESS DAY
I shall pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again by Stephen Grellet.
World kindness day is an international event which is observed 13th November yearly.
It was introduced by a coalition of nations’ kindness NGOs in 1998. Many countries like Australia, Canada, Nigeria and United Arab Emirates. Even Singapore which observed it first time in 2009.
The purpose of this event is to highlight good deeds in our community and share various threads of kindness that unites us.
This day promotes importance of kindness to oneself, one another, community and the world bridging ethnicity, gender, race, religion, political or social class of individuals.
What it takes/cost to be kind?
It cost a little/ almost nothing to be kind to one another. You don’t need to buy a luxurious item for someone to be kind. The little things we do means a lot.
Few Ways To Portray Kindness:
- Offer to help out
- Give advice to impact one’s life
- Buy/cook food
- Give money
- Spend quality time
- Check up on someone
- Pray for/with someone
- Provide shelter for the helpless
- Offer to pay for groceries
- Help bail out that innocent kid
- Getting your neighbor’s kid a new toy, pair of uniform or help with school fees
- Visiting hospitals, orphanage and many other ways we can be kind to people.
Am sure most of the things I mentioned above won’t cost a neck, arm or leg to offer.
Let's do something impactful and life changing for someone around you.
Leave them with a memory to smile, hope, love and live on with.
Let love lead……………………..
Love,
Princess_peeee.
